Online access to the Journal of Phycology

Your membership in the Phycological Society of America includes FREE access to the full contents of the new, online version of the Journal of Phycology. The online journal service from Blackwell Science offers:

  • Full-text HTML and PDF options for article viewing and printing
  • Links to external databases (e.g., MEDLINE and ISI's Web of Science)
  • Links from article references to other journals via CrossRef
  • Personal homepage to keep track of your subscriptions, customized searches, and links to favorite articles
  • E-mail of tables of content notification as soon as each new issue is posted

Journal of Phycology Website Registration Instructions
You must initially register on the site, during your first visit. Once you have registered, you may then login with your new username and password at any time. This is a three step process the first time you visit the site, but you only need to perform Step 3 (log-in) after that.

Step 1: Go to http://www.jphycol.org/ and select ‘Register’ on the left side of the page.
Step 2: Enter your PSA Membership Number (found above your name on your mailing label, or by contacting Membership Services; see below for contact details).and continue the registration process by creating a ‘Username’ and ‘Password’ and filling in the requested fields and then clicking ‘SUBMIT’.
Step 3: Select ‘Log-In’ on the left side of the page and enter the Username and Password chosen during registration and press ‘SUBMIT’. Once logged-in you may:

  • Update your address and contact information (choose Amend Your Profile from the left-side menu)
  • View Journal of Phycology content online. Choose ‘Journal on Synergy’ from the left-side menu and follow the link provided to go directly to online journal content. (You will not need to log-in to Synergy separately.)
